New Zealand start-up Your Pure Honey is offering customers the chance to own a share of a beehive in and enjoy the Manuka honey it produces. A basic share costs USD 285 per season (September–May) and yields 2kg of raw honey (delivery costs are included). Those who their own personal colony can adopt an entire hive as a ‘Premium Partner’ for USD 2,500 and receive 20kg of honey at the close of the season.

Er liggen voldoende kansen voor moeilijk plaatsbare werklozen om aan de slag te gaan in het MKB. Één op de vijf werkgevers in het MKB geeft namelijk aan bereid te zijn in de toekomst één of meerdere moeilijk plaatsbare werklozen in dienst te nemen. Dit blijkt uit onderzoek van onderzoeksbureau EIM.

Wethouder Freek Ossel van Werk en Inkomen wil jongeren in de bijstand met medische problemen kunnen dwingen naar de dokter te gaan. Wie weigert, wordt gekort op zijn uitkering.

Social entrepreneurship is the new fair trade, or at least one would think so by the way the term has been bandied about in non-profit and philanthropic circles in recent years.
